While the U.S. may not be as famous for all-inclusive resorts as Mexico or the Caribbean, we've uncovered some exceptional hidden gems across the country during our coast-to-coast travels. Keep in mind that things in the United States are a little different, though, and most all-inclusive packages in the U.S. exclude alcohol. However, from wellness resorts in Arizona to woodland lodges in North Carolina, there are excellent options for families, couples, and any traveler seeking a hassle-free vacation without leaving the country. Read on for our favorites.

Amid the rugged beauty of the Sonoran Desert, the Miraval Resort, located outside Tucson, Arizona, is a luxurious wellness oasis that's especially renowned for its Miraval Spa. This is the kind of place where recharging actually feels like full-blown pampering. Guests can choose from hundreds of fitness and yoga classes, outdoor activities, and workshops. You'll find three swimming pools, a beautiful spa, and a modern gym as well. All-inclusive packages vary, though the most premium includes lodging, all meals, snacks, smoothies, non-alcoholic drinks, all classes and activities, and a resort credit.
Miraval’s rooms and suites are stunning, and many feature huge terraces, private plunge pools, and panoramic desert views. Even if you don't need a wellness reset, this resort is a special place for travelers looking to splurge.

The 40-room Lake Austin Spa Resort is an intimate spa and wellness retreat on 19 lakeside acres. With its handsome, modern style, the hotel focuses less on design and more on extras, including three lovely pools (one of which is located inside a barn) and a plethora of water activities on Lake Austin. A range of activities and classes are included in rates, plus lake equipment (including kayaks, rowing shells, etc.), special events and lectures, and free access to the relaxation areas, steam rooms, and saunas in the spa. Upgraded packages include spa treatment credits as well. The hotel's restaurant plates delicious spa fare sourced from the hotel's organic garden, and all meals, snacks, coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages are included in rates. Even gratuities are included in the all-inclusive rates here. However, keep in mind that hard liquor isn't served at the Lake Austin Spa Resort, and both wine and beer will cost extra.

Classic elegance and deep history (plus some major Hollywood cameos) are a major draw at Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel. Built in 1887, the property is a destination in its own right, but there are special perks here for those choosing to spend the night. Grand Hotel rates are certainly not cheap, and a formal dress code is in place for dining in the Grand Hotel's dining room. However, this level of elegance only adds to the exclusive and storied atmosphere here. All-inclusive packages are available to add to your stay. The Full American Plan covers breakfast, lunch buffets, and formal dinners, but no drinks. The Modified American Meal Plan includes breakfast and dinner daily. Other amenities include a pool, golf, and children's activities in the summer. You'd be wise to book well in advance here, as rooms sell out incredibly far in advance for peak season.

Tanque Verde Ranch, a classic dude ranch near Tucson with an upscale twist, might just be one of the most well-known resorts in the desert southwest. And there's a reason for that: This rustic, all-inclusive resort is surrounded by miles of gorgeous mountains and desert, and has plenty to do for couples, families, and travelers of all ages. The property borders Saguaro National Park and Coronado National Forest, where guests can enjoy guided horseback rides, mountain biking, and hiking. On-site, there are swimming and spa treatments at La Sonora Spa. While you won't find TVs in the room, there is Wi-Fi, but the point here is to unplug and reconnect. Guests can choose to add on an all-inclusive package to their room rates, which includes all meals, most daily activities, group rides, and kids’ clubs.

Much like the Tanque Verde Ranch, the White Stallion Ranch—set on 3,000 acres between Phoenix and Tucson—offers travelers a glimpse of traditional life in the desert southwest. This family-oriented dude ranch has 41 rooms that have a polished rustic look. Family-run for 50 years, the White Stallion feels like a movie set, with desert, mountains, enormous saguaro cacti, and genuine cowboys filling its grounds. Activities include horseback riding, rodeo skills, rock climbing, and hiking for all ages and skill levels. The ranch has an authentic Western feel, from the family-style dining room to the rustic-luxe cabins. For an all-inclusive experience, opt for the Full Package, which includes lodging, three meals daily, horseback riding, and evening entertainment. However, note that some activities and all alcohol will cost extra.

Deep in the Poconos, The Lodge at Woodloch is an upscale adult-only retreat whose spa aesthetic feels miles away from the area's infamous gaudy honeymoon suites and heart-shaped hot tubs. With its classic style plus acres of woodland, a private lake, and an adjacent golf club, the resort packs in a lot. But it's the dining that receives the strongest marks, with farm-to-table fare that includes certain items that are sourced from The Lodge at Woodloch's own garden. Meals are included with your stay, and all-inclusive rates also include group fitness classes and lectures, guided group excursions, and chef's cooking demonstrations. The luxurious spa amenities are included as well, such as the indoor pool, Hydromassage WaterWalls, Snow Room, Himalayan Salt Sauna, whirlpools, and more. It's a great place to unwind for a spa vacation as well, though treatments will cost extra (as will drinks). A 20 percent service charge will be automatically added to package rates, and additional tipping is not expected.
